About our love for the sepia colors: We have a big heart for Italy, from where these pigments originate. Imagine yourself sitting in the warm dry weather at a small café with tables and chairs outside in the shadow, where they serve both fragrant and freshly made caffé espresso - and cold local white wine with ripe tomatoes on bread. And then imagine yourself painting with this kit, your own original homemade watercolor paint made from the clay soil of Tuscany.

Interesting fact: The sienna pigment is made from haematite. When limonite is roasted, it turns partially to haematite and becomes more reddish. After being heated, the pigment has become the color known as burnt sienna.

NB: In this box you will find sustainable seaweed sourced from the North Sea in Denmark. We use it to protect the content of our boxes and luckily it smells just like hay. You can fertilize your flower pots with the seaweed and eventually it becomes one with nature.
